We now have an opportunity at the Ellesmere Port site for a Maintenance Superintendent, who ideally has production experience ,who will work alongside the Production Superintendant and  report into the Plant Manager. Working Monday to Friday on an extended day shift pattern (6 am to 2pm/1pm to 9pm) with on-call cover over the weekend on a rota, you will be responsible for supporting the Plant Manager with the day to day running of site maintenance and production activities. The Maintenance role will coordinate and implement continuous improvements, TOPPM, conditional monitoring . The candidate will have completed a full 3 – 4 year electrical/instrumentation apprenticeship and is qualified in take the engineering lead role on all plant projects. In the Production role you will support with the day-to-day operation of the site production function, site stock levels and tank farm and engineering site services to meet the needs of the site. Your role will also be responsible for safety auditing including permits to work, production analysis, coordination of safety and production related training and provide SAP training for operators. 

You will be trained in Behavioural Based Safety and will be the first line of contact for the Laboratory Technician and external security personnel for out of hours access. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of Post Good Issue (PGI) in SAP.

 What you need:  

  • You should hold an electrical or instrumentation qualification to City and Guilds level and have previous experience in a maintenance/production supervisory role.  
  • PLC fault finding experience with certification  
  • Experience working with and producing CAD drawings is desirable(Training can be provided)
  • Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.  
  • A relevant safety qualification such as NEBOSH. 
  • A proficient level of computer literacy and previous experience of SAP would be an advantage. 
  • A first aid qualification or willingness to achieve the qualification.
