Job title: Technical Services Manager
Reporting to: General Manager
Hours of work: Monday to Friday – 00.00am until 00.00pm

The main purpose of the role
The main purpose of this role is to support the development of the business in driving improvements and embedding a positive Occupational Health & Safety, and Quality culture.
In addition, the jobholder will ensure compliancy with the ISO standard 14001 (Occupational Health & Safety), compliancy with the ISO standard 9001 (Quality) and permit compliancy of ISO standard 45001 (Environment).
Reporting to the General Manager, the job holder is a member of the Senior Leadership Team on site. In turn, the job holder will manage a small team of specialist practitioners: Product Management, HSEQ Compliancy Management, Mill Chemist, Lab Technician and Lab Apprentice.
This role requires a particular blend of skills, knowledge, and experience. Ideally the job holder will have a degree in paper science, or engineering with a focus on the science and technology involved in the development of paper products, along with other relevant qualifications in the field of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management.
The job holder will be a natural leader, with the necessary drive and determination to not only develop but lead the implementation of best practices in the multi-disciplines set out above.
3-month probationary period
Pay day – 20th of each month.
25days annual holiday, plus 8 statutory days. Holiday year January to December.
